Beagles are one of the most popular dog breeds for people looking for a pet. Most years, they rank among the top 10 breeds in America. It’s easy to see why: the American Kennel Club (AKC) describes beagles as “loyal” companions that are often “happy-go-lucky.” They get along well with kids and other dogs and are generally considered easygoing.

Sadly, that gentle temperament has made beagles a common choice for companies that conduct animal testing.

Unless you’re a teenager or you’ve found the Fountain of Youth, the answer is: Yes, you should take collagen. Starting around age 30, our ability to produce this vital nutrient decreases, leading to joint pain, wrinkles, and other classic signs of aging. Sigh

Here’s something most people don’t realize: By age 60, most adults are producing almost half the collagen they did in their younger years — and that can show up in ways people often associate with “just getting older”...

It starts showing up in subtle ways: a little more stiffness getting out of bed, skin that looks less firm, nails that chip more easily, or feeling slower to recover after everyday activity.

Collagen is actually the most abundant protein in the human body. It helps support connective tissue found in your joints, skin, bones, muscles, and gut lining. But modern diets often don’t provide much of it — especially compared to previous generations who regularly consumed collagen-rich foods.

That’s one reason collagen supplements have exploded in popularity in recent years.

And the research is getting attention, too. Seriously: One study showed postmenopausal women who took just 5g of collagen daily saw a 7% increase in bone density in one year.

Other studies have explored collagen’s role in supporting skin hydration, joint comfort, and healthy aging overall.

NativePath Collagen — a simple, single-ingredient collagen protein sourced from grass-fed bovine collagen peptides.

Just 2 small scoops delivers 18g of protein and mixes easily into coffee, smoothies, or water with no gritty texture or strong taste. No fillers. No artificial ingredients. Just a clean source of collagen peptides designed to fit into a daily routine.

If you’ve been noticing more stiffness, changes in skin appearance, or simply want to support healthy aging proactively, collagen may be worth a closer look.

Learn why so many adults are adding collagen to their daily routine — and discover the “7 reasons” this protein has become one of the most talked-about wellness habits today.

Funny ‘Mr. Brightside’ parody has Gen Xers celebrating the joy of going to bed while it’s still light out

“Coming out of the meal, and we are doing just fine. We look at our watch, and it is 7:09…”

One of the biggest differences between being 25 and 50 is the idea of going out and partying past midnight. A 25-year-old can do that a few nights a week, whereas someone in their 50s would need three days to recuperate from one night out. As we age, our bodies change, we appreciate a good night’s sleep a lot more, and a quiet night with a good book feels a lot more appealing than it did two decades earlier.

Gen Xers are entering the curl-up-with-a-good-book phase of their lives. Those born between 1965 and 1980 are somewhere between 46 and 61 and have probably had more days than they want to admit when going to bed before nightfall seemed like a great idea.

8 small, simple acts of kindness you use to brighten someone’s day

Don’t hold back on compliments. Give them freely.

Acts of kindness: we know they’re important not only for others, but for ourselves. They can contribute to a more positive community and help us feel more connected, happier even. But in our incessantly busy and hectic lives, performing good deeds can feel like an unattainable goal. Or perhaps we equate generosity with monetary contribution, which can feel like an impossible task depending on a person’s financial situation.

Have you ever felt guilty because you don’t spend enough time volunteering? Or maybe because you can’t or don’t give much money to charity? It’s not a good feeling, and you can sometimes feel stuck not knowing what to do about it. But being kind and generous to others doesn’t have to be hard, or take much time, or cost anything at all.
