A young boy gets ready to bowl.
Young bowler’s technique defies belief, but it doesn’t stop him from getting perfect strikes
J-Money makes the game his own and he’s a blast to watch.
Sometimes, personal style amplifies the best athletes. For example, Miami Marlins pitcher Johnny Cueto does a little shimmy spin move that has often gotten him good results. And Jim Furyk’s unique golf swing (involving interesting hip placement) is always fun to watch. So when a young bowler named Justin came onto the scene with his own style and moves, many were intrigued and impressed.
Justin Bloomer, who has been going by the name “J-Money,” is an up-and-coming athlete who is starting to make waves in the bowling world. But his form is unlike anything many have never seen. It’s certainly unique, and it’s led to him getting strikes, winning games, and going viral.

Christian Shearhod teaches students in Texas.
Texas math teacher goes viral for his lesson about when and when not to call something ‘gay’
This kind of lesson could change a child’s life.
Languages are always evolving and changing over time. Many words see their meanings shift as society and culture develop, and, usually, this is a good thing. Of course, some words that were once innocuous may evolve to have negative, controversial, and even inflammatory meanings. Such words become embedded in cultures and communities, and, before some people realize it, they become part of everyday vernacular. But just because something is normal or common doesn’t mean it’s right. Words, as well all know, are powerful and can be extremely harmful. It takes effort and, quite frankly, guts, to call out slurs when they’re arbitrarily thrown around so they fall out of normalcy.
A teacher in Texas is one of those gutsy people. Christian Shearhod, also known as Mr. S. by most of his students, might be one of the only math teachers with 1.3 million followers on Instagram. There’s a good reason for that. He has a brilliant way of speaking to children in which he demonstrates inclusivity and kindness.

English professor explains why happy, successful people have one thing in common: true literacy

In the long arc of history, that’s incredible progress. But there’s a catch. In the U.S., nearly a third of adults are functionally illiterate, which means they “face significant challenges when trying to comprehend or use written information in practical contexts,” according to Babbel.
In other words, there’s a huge difference between being able to read words and understand sentences and being truly, functionally literate.

Woman praised her male boss for his response to her period woes. Then the guy’s mom chimed in.
Well done, mama.
By Annie Reneau
Having your menstrual cycle disrupt your life is not unusual for women, but most of the time, we avoid mentioning it in mixed company. It’s pretty much an unspoken rule that we keep our period woes to ourselves at work, but sometimes the reality hits too hard to ignore.
A woman named Indi was recently hit with that reality, and the response she got at work was a surprise. She shared in a TikTok that she had started her period and got a really bad migraine. She was hesitant to tell her younger male boss, but this was his response:
